The “chipset” is the electronics on your motherboard that is the interface between the CPU and the memory (RAM) and peripheral devices installed on the motherboard.

If the chipset driver is not compatible with Windows 7, then you should go to the web site of your computer manufacturer (HP), search for the download page for your specific model, and see if Windows 7 compatible drivers are available.
