Damn, people relax. JJGIRL just asked what to expect, not how much should she sue for.
While their answers are technically correct, you are entitled to be “made whole”. This includes your home, furnishing, floor coverings, and contents restored to their original condition. It also includes any extra expenses you had to pay because of the damage. These include additional rent if you could not live there during the renovations, reimbursement for vacation/PTO time used, additional cost of food (if you are not home it is difficult to maintain food), additional travel expenses. If you hired a contractor to help assist you then that would be reimbursable as well. Talk with their insurance company (and maybe yours as well) to help you understand. They will work with you until it is done.
