1. Put her on pregnancy welfare (Medicaid) if you qualify.
2. Add her to your policy during open enrollment. That could be any time of the year depending on your employer. Becoming pregnant is not considered a life changing event so you won’t have an enrollment period because of this.
3. Buy her a policy, either on the marketplace exchange website or off. However, she cannot get a policy until open enrollment which starts in November because again getting pregnant is not a life changing event. The policy will be effective January 1.
